Michael R. Cowart is a graduate of The University of Alabama. After graduation, he began his career as an insurance broker with National Life of Vermont. Then in 2003, he formed Michael R. Cowart & Associates. They specialize in corporate employee benefits, executive benefits, and risk management for corporate owners and top management.
Michael is active in industry and community affairs. He was a board member for John Hancock Agents Advisory Council in Boston, St. Ignatius Church, The Archdiocese of Mobile, and the YMCA. He currently serves on the boards of Meals on Wheels and First Light of Mobile.
Michael and his wife Cissy have two children and four granddaughters. They attend St. Ignatius Catholic Church. His hobbies include running, golf, and traveling with family and friends.
