Michael is a second-generation Cowart to work in the insurance and investment business. He earned a B.S in Finance with a specialization in Insurance from the University of Alabama.
Before coming home and joining The Cowart Group, Michael spent several years in Nashville, TN. He worked for Jackson National, a global leader in the retirement annuity market. During that period, Michael worked with financial professionals across the country helping build custom retirement and investment portfolios for their clients.
Michael works with corporations, their owners, and executives on their executive benefit plans, executive compensation planning, and employee benefit packages.
As an active member in the community, Michael serves on the board of the Salvation Army of Coastal Alabama. Michael and his wife Anna have three daughters and attend St. Ignatius Catholic Church. In his free time, Michael enjoys playing golf, running, and spending times with friends and family.
